A tiny little gem called, McCook, TX
Today I had the chance of going to McCook, TX. I'd always wanted to visit. To my surprise, it was something else! You would miss it if you blinked.
It's just two houses, two corner stores (one is not in use), and a church. Oh and windmills. That's it. I thought it was a big city and nope. 😶 I did hear about ranches nearby, but I'd probably have to travel quite a bit to reach them. The lady in the corner store mentioned they are usually hunting around those areas.
I did appreciate how this tiny, itsy, witsy town is almost suspended in time. It reminded me of a time that is no more. I could imagine a bed and breakfast in these peaceful parts, but it would have to be around the immediate four way spot I was at. I am assuming there are probably javelinas and rattlesnakes and those are not neighbors.
