Cookie Rumble

April 21, 2013 The month of April has shown its face again, yay! This usually means travel time with my family. This would have been the first trip as an official married couple for my husband and I, but he had to work the weekend. Even though I was trying to postpone it, he encouraged me to go. My family took the bait and now I’m here writing about it. While I was at home navigating the Internet I saw an ad that had a picture of the Grand Canyon. The view of the canyon top inspired me to climb a mountain. Now I'm not talking aspiring to climb Mt. Everest, something more minimal but meaningful. I started to look for state parks and one stood out, Enchanted Rock in Fredericksburg, TX. Although not a mountain it is a monadnock. I thought this would be perfect! We had to wake up early on the day we planned to climb the rock. There was a long road to cover and we wanted to avoid as much traffic as possible.
