BB.Q Chicken Rose Ddeok Bokki Review

I've been so excited since the announcement of the opening of this restaurant! I wanted to try the chicken of course, but the thing that called me was Rose Ddeok Bokki. I have seen it in many videos and wanted to try it so badly for some time now. I had to try it first!

The restaurant open on Trenton Rd in Edinburg, TX was nice and clean. The ambiance was nice with K-pop music playing softly. Ordering was quick and easy. However, if you don't have time or are in a rush, I'd highly recommend ordering ahead or going somewhere else. It's a long wait. They do warn you beforehand though.

The customer service was nice and proper and I was there long enough to see how they treated and served other customers. They attended the guests quite nicely and were attentive. Two family sized guests did walk out, again, because of the wait. The food is made to order so I do see why they take the time they do.

Now, for the review of the Rose Ddeok Bokki. After being given my order from the nice lady upfront I noticed it was piping hot! I couldn't wait and opened it in the car. It smelled so good.

The Korean rice cakes are accompanied by slices of fish cakes cut into triangles. This is all mixed in with a creamy sauce topped with spring onions, an egg, and the cheese on top I ordered. After taking a bite I was sold! This wasn't too spicy and it has a little kick to it. It was absolutely fantabulously delicious! My parents, who I was with, concurred. They couldn't stop eating it as well.

I'll eventually taste the chicken, but I'm definitely ordering ahead and coming back for the Rose Ddeok Bokki.

With Love,
Cookie
