We said we would wake up at 6 a.m. and head towards our destination, however, the six became a nine. We were exhausted. When we finally did end up getting on the road it was more of a breeze. We jetted through Mississippi and Alabama.

Mississippi's Welcome Center in Pearlington was very interesting! When you walk in through those doors you are transported to a different time. I thought it was more museum than anything. The nice ladies upfront were so welcoming. The hospitality was top notch. They guided us to where the coffee was without even having to ask. They also initiated small talk with my parents and informed us of places we might want to visit. I honestly didn't want to leave, there was so much to look at! Several of the travelers that peeked in agreed. While walking around I could hear one after the other say what was on my mind, "We just stopped to use the facilities right quick and you have me thirty minutes later still here."












We passed the Infinity Science Center on our way out of the welcome center. It was closed. I might visit it in the future though. It looks fun. 


The State of Alabama Welcome Center in Grand Bay, close to Mobile was quick. I think everyone just wanted to arrive at our destination. It was super clean and tidy and looked very upscale. Behind glass windows and doors there was an information desk and gift shop. It heavily promoted fishing and hunting. I grabbed as many free brochures to see what we could visit next time we come. There was a big rock outside which was meticulously painted with the Oyster Trail. Magnificent!






And finally our destination. The peach state, Georgia!

BB.Q Chicken Rose Ddeok Bokki Review

 I've been so excited since the announcement of the opening of this restaurant! I wanted to try the chicken of course, but the thing that called me was Rose Ddeok Bokki. I have seen it in many videos and wanted to try it so badly for some time now. I had to try it first!  The restaurant open on Trenton Rd in Edinburg, TX was nice and clean. The ambiance was nice with K-pop music playing softly. Ordering was quick and easy. However, if you don't have time or are in a rush, I'd highly recommend ordering ahead or going somewhere else. It's a long wait. They do warn you beforehand though.  The customer service was nice and proper and I was there long enough to see how they treated and served other customers. They attended the guests quite nicely and were attentive. Two family sized guests did walk out, again, because of the wait. The food is made to order so I do see why they take the time they do. Lent Friday means only fish today! Fun fact, there is a ‘monster’ in cryptozoology that is called, the whale eater! (Picture a kraken) Although not yet discovered (I say yet because I have a feeling it is out there) there have been several sightings of this animal. Not only that, but they attribute certain recent incidents to it. The 58 foot long whale that was on shore with bite marks in Long Island, NY in 2014. The whale did not die because of the bite, but it did play a part in its death. The whale may have been so traumatized by the event that it came to shore and died of starvation. Reportedly, the bite marks were not of a whale or any marine known animal. Also, the shark that washed up on shore with its half body bitten off in New Smyrna Beach, Florida in 2017. In 2013, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, a large sperm whale was found dead and attributed to a giant shark, but then after reviewing they found the whale died due to one large bite. Hydrothermal Vents

The deepest known hydrothermal vents on Earth, Beebe Vent Field and Von Damm Vent Field, are in the Cayman Trough (trench). They are in the Caribbean Sea and the Cayman Islands, close to Cuba. Water exits the vents at 842°F! You would think life couldn't possibly exist here but it does! For instance, fireworms and blind shrimp. The blind shrimp have their eyes fused together but they are able to detect really hot water. That's awesome! Scientists speculate that the moons, Enceladus and Europa, may host these type of vents too. It's pretty cool to think there might be some sort of life form somewhat close by us. With Love, Cookie
